Our journey began in the mid to late 1970s under the name North East Welding, founded in Newcastle upon Tyne. As our reputation for innovation and quality grew, we rebranded to NEWARC in the 1990s. We then became a world-class manufacturer and supplier of welding equipment.
For decades, Newarc equipment earned the trust of individual professionals, major hire companies, and international clients across the UK, Middle East, and Far East, where our high-duty-cycle machines proved ideal for the toughest climates and most demanding industrial environments.
In 2020, Newarc Ltd became part of Wholesale Welding Supplies before closing its doors in December 2024. Determined to preserve and evolve this proud heritage, NewarcUK Ltd was formed in May 2025 - reigniting the tradition of British-designed, high-performance welding technology.
